Distance 9km.
This spectacular track continues around the western end of Kelvin Peninsula to gain the south-eastern side of the lake and reveals wonderful views across to the high mountains of Cecil and Walter Peaks. A real sense of wildness prevails on this route as most signs of civilization soon disappear.
- The track is tight and technical single-track in several sections over the first three kilometers.
- This section can be avoided by turning east up Peninsula Road from the golf course, turning right into Poplar Drive which leads into Jardine Park.
- The Jacks Point trail is accessed through a gateway on the right, 100m from the park entrance. Look for the Department of Conversation sign that says Jardine Park to Jack’s Point Club House.
- Follow the well formed trail, which includes a number of steep climbs and descents, to a sign indicating the golf course.
- Follow the Jack’s Point signs to the Clubhouse.
